Neilcorp Homes a Finalist for 2011 Award for Customer Service

April 7, 2011 For the second year, Neilcorp Homes has been picked as one of the top five medium home builders in Ontario for customer service.

“Customer service has always been an extremely important part of our business. It’s such a pleasure to be recognized for this,” said Doug McIntosh, president of Neilcorp Homes.

Neilcorp Homes was chosen as a finalist for the Tarion Award of Excellence for the Medium Volume Building category – the only such company in Eastern Ontario to achieve this. The awards are handed out to companies that demonstrate outstanding customer service based on the input of new homeowners. They are the only awards of their kind in Ontario.

“Each of the Tarion Awards of Excellence finalists can proudly say they have gained an honour every business person strives for – recognition of a job well done by their own customers,” said Howard Bogach, Tarion president and CEO. “We congratulate these builders. They have done the industry proud.”

The finalists are selected according to the results of a comprehensive survey sent out to more than 48,000 new Ontario homeowners. The studies are designed to determine how happy the customers were with the overall service. These customer surveys cover every stage of the relationship with the home builder – from initial purchase agreement to after-sales service.

Neilcorp has been building high-quality custom homes in Almonte for more than 18 years. Throughout this time, the company has prided itself on offering customers tremendous value they would not find anywhere else. Huge, oversized 50-foot lots come standard and Neilcorp is extremely proud of the fact that they have never missed a closing date.

“I think the most fulfilling part of the Tarion awards is that they’re based purely on the opinions of new homeowners,” said Neilcorp co-owner Robert Dick.
