Quality Home Builder in Almonte, Arnprior, Carleton Place & Calabogie

ALMONTE — Neilcorp Homes, a homebuilder based in Almonte serving Ottawa Valley communities west of Ottawa, has signed on to be the title sponsor of Puppets Up!, the international puppet festival making its return to the streets of Almonte this August.

“To us, Puppets Up! is the perfect example of what makes Almonte such a great place to call home,” said Robert Dick, President, Neilcorp Homes. “We’re proud to be able to help bring the festival back after so many years!”

The Puppets Up! International Puppet Festival was launched in 2005 and for more than a decade brought family-friendly entertainment and world-class puppet artistry to the streets of Almonte, a picturesque community 30 minutes west of Ottawa. After going on hiatus in 2017, Puppets Up! – Presented by Neilcorp Homes – is making its return in 2022.

“Neilcorp Homes is all about family and community; they are truly an Almonte success story,” said Jane Torrance, the festival’s executive director. “For more than two decades Neilcorp Homes has been literally helping to build our friendly town and they’re the perfect folks to help us rebuild Puppets Up! too. We’re all community builders!”

Torrance noted that the sponsorship deal came at a key time for the festival.

“Neilcorp’s support has helped us keep ticket prices as low as we can for as long as we can, even with inflation driving up costs across the board,” said Torrance. “That’s really important in a town like Almonte.”

Puppets Up! runs August 12-14 and will feature performers and troupes across five performance venues and throughout Almonte’s historic downtown. Ticket information and a festival program can be found at www.puppetsup.com.
