Quality Home Builder in Almonte, Arnprior, Carleton Place & Calabogie

July 19th, Neilcorp Homes gathered 208 golfers to raise money for Roger’s House during their 2nd Annual Neilcorp Homes Charity Golf Tournament at the Pakenham Highlands Golf Club.

It was a perfect day with blue skies and lots of good fun. After a 1pm shot gun, 18 holes of golf, a delicious meal and a live auction, Neilcorp was able to raise $37,000 for Roger’s House.

“As our second year running this tournament we could not be happier with the increase in golfer turn out, sponsor donations and the money we raised for Roger’s House. We surpassed last year’s number by $15,000 and are beyond pleased. We look forward to next year’s event!” said Doug McIntosh, co-owner of Neilcorp Homes.

The inspiration of this tournament came in 2010 when Neilcorp Homes met a young girl named Zoey Lumley-Pfeil and her family. The four-year-old girl had been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that left her unable to properly digest food along with of other life-threatening conditions. The energy and spirit Zoey carried truly moved Neilcorp Homes and they designed a custom home to help meet the needs of this beautiful girl. Sadly, despite her tremendous bravery, Zoey succumbed to her illness on June 9, 2011.

Since this happened in 2010 Neilcorp Homes organized the annual golf tournament in memory of Zoey Lumley-Pfeil and to raise money for Roger’s House. All proceeds that come from the golf tournament are donated to the Roger’s House to help other children like Zoey.

A special thanks goes out to all of the Volunteers and Sponsors of this year’s Annual Neilcorp Homes Charity Golf Tournament. Neilcorp Homes would like to thank all it’s generous sponsors
